International Conference on Marine Data and Information Systems 12 -14 April 2021 
The biggest challenges in the marine environmental sciences can only be tackled through a better understanding of the ocean. A significant resource for expanding our understanding is the growing quantity of marine data collected by organisations around the globe. Future improvements rely on the ability to easily assimilate, analyse and interpret these data regardless of international borders or scientific domain key to achieving these goals is the partnering between different countries, institutions and data providers, to enable open data sharing. The journey to gaining a better understanding of the oceanographic data as a resource for all starts with good data management, awareness of data repositories, data products generated and mastery of the tools available to aid analysis. The VII edition of IMDIS scientific conference will give the latest view of all these areas and more! The conference will be held online from 12 to 14 April and will showcase: 52 oral presentations, 83 posters.
